Today I turned 55!! Yeah! I have yet to have a birthday that caused me consternation. I figure having another birthday is better than the alternative.
I again stretched my birthday celebration out as long as possible. Last night, friends had a party for me. The food was wonderful, the fellowship was warm, and the Karaoke was FANTASTIC!!!
We had so much fun singing everything from "Big John" to "American Pie".
Today, I opened my presents from my sweetie and my kids. They spoil me every year!!
We also had about 15 people over today to watch the Super Bowl and to pig out on all sorts of goodies. Most in the house were rooting for the Pats, which was fine. I was torn because, although my son-in-law is an avid Pats fan, Eli Manning and Victor Cruz were both stars on my Fantasy team. Therefore, I cheered for BOTH teams, so I WON!!! ( and would have with either outcome).
So, all in all, I have had another wonderful birthday. If I keep having this much fun, I may decide to live forever. Oh, wait, because of Jesus I will do just that.
The best birthday gift of all is one I receive every single day of my life. I receive the grace that God offers to all, and I have a relationship with His Son. Thank you God for my life, my family, my friends, and most of all, your Son.
