Has Spring finally sprung.....

Well, maybe. We have had almost 8 inches of rain between last weekend and this weekend. It has just not let up. The good news behind that is the blossoming of the trees. They are the only thing that has blossomed so far. Our lilacs are only just beginning to bud.


This tree is not in our yard. It is about a mile from where we live, but this type of tree is everywhere in town and they are all beautiful!!!

    I need to plant some lilac bushes. We went for a walk yesterday and I kept smelling people's lilacs and thinking "I need some of those!" Our daffodils bloomed, but kind of got fooled and it got cold again, so they petered out. But our tulips are (finally)in full bloom and look fabulous! Hopefully it stays warm enough here that they keep!

    We have a lilac bush in our front yard but it's in the worst place ever so it never really has grown and barely gets any flowers on it. It's a real bummer because I love lilacs!! Hope the weather holds up for you guys and you finally get some relief from the rain! :)
